  • The flu season is upon us. If your child is sick, please keep them at home so they do not spread it to the rest. We have had to send several children home because they are too sick to be at school.
  • There are still winter coats available in the office if any of your children need one. Please let me know.

Thank you to:

  • Fairway Market for your continuous donations to the school food programs. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Water proof jackets are always necessary as the children go outside at recess and lunch. The ground may still be slippery on the back field, so please walk with caution.

Respectfully,

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! The weather is going to be getting colder overnight.  Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. ie: raincoat or waterproof winter coat, rubber/winter boots, toques, mitts etc.  An umbrella is also a good idea.  The students will be going outside unless it is raining/snowing sideways (extremely windy), as we feel it is a good idea to take in some fresh air during their school day.  It would also be a good idea to send a spare set of clothing to school, as there are times when children are playing so hard, that they end up getting wet.  Those puddles are just too difficult to resist sometimes.  Thank you!

  • Please remind your child to leave their toys at home (including sports equipment). We have plenty of toys at school for your child to play with and individual toys tend to cause disputes or tears if they lose them.

With the possibility of snow over the coming days, please take a look at our weather procedures. Schools remain open if at all possible, including during snowfalls. It is always up to you to decide whether or not to send your child to school during inclement weather.
