Dear Parents/Guardians:
Well it seems that 2022 is starting off with more interruptions to our usual routines. You would think that we would be getting used to this by now, but changes still seem difficult. As you are probably already aware, schools will reopen on January 10th, 2022. The district has already sent out messaging to families, but in case you missed the email, here is a recap:
Ruth King will be closed to most students between January 4-7.
- Please do not send your students to school until January 10 when we will have new protocols in place.
- This time is to give staff the opportunity to plan for changes to school operations that may be necessitated by the impact of the Omicron Covid-19 variant.
- Our ultimate aim is to ensure continuity of learning in a safe environment for students and staff.
During the week of January 4-7, schools will be available for supervision to:
- Students with complex special needs.
- The Accessibility buses will run as normal during this week.
- Children of health care workers:
- During the week of January 4-7, regular school buses will not be running. Children of health care workers will need to make their own arrangements for their children to get to and from school.
