Ruth King will be celebrating Literacy Week March 8-12.

The week will be filled with a variety of activities including a few dress up days and we wanted to give you a head’s up.

Monday March 8^th: Reading Rocks, Wear Your Funky Socks,
Wednesday March 10^th: Messages on your T-shirt (either one you have already or get creative and make your own!),
Friday March 12^th: Dress Like Your Favourite Character Day.

Students are also invited to participate in Reading Bingo at home. The bingo sheets will come home

this week and are due back March 12 by noon to be entered for a prize.

Reminders for this week!

Please remember to do the Daily Health Check with your child and keep them home if your child is sick.
If your child is going to be away from school, it is important to email your child’s teacher to let them know.

Coming Up this Month:

March 8 to 12th– Literacy Week

8^th – wear your funky socks today

12^th – dress like a book character today

March 8^th – Monday Morning Meeting 8:40am; fire drill 9:30am; Funky Socks Day

March 9^th – Staff Meeting 2:30pm and PAC Meeting 6:30pm

March 12^th – Pizza Day PAC sponsored event; Dress as your Favorite Character; last day before Spring break

March 17^th – St. Patrick’s Day

March 13^th to 28^th – Spring Break – no school

April 2^nd and 5^th – Good Friday and Easter Monday – no school

This Week:

*Monday – Mar 1^st*	Lunch Program – Hard boiled egg, crackers and cheese, apples and carrots
*Tuesday – Mar 2^nd*	Lunch Program – macaroni & shredded cheese; red apple Popcorn and Smencil Day for those who have ordered
*Wednesday – Mar 3^rd*	Lunch Program – chicken Caesar wrap; mandarin orange
*Thursday – Mar 4^th*	Lunch Program – 6 chicken nuggets with honey mustard sauce; banana
*Friday – Mar 5^th*	Lunch Program – pizza sub sandwich and rice krispie squares
