Reminders:

  • Please remember to do the Daily Health Check with your child and keep them home if your child is sick.
  • As the weather gets colder, please make sure your child has appropriate winter gear, such as mitts and a toque. If your child needs a winter coat, we have had many donated. Please let us know if you need one for your child.
  • Please remember to send a change of clothes with your child as sometimes students have accidents, or they get wet at recess or lunch. Please label all belongingsLost and Found is displayed outside the gym doors on most mornings.
  • When you are dropping off and picking up your child, please stay off the paved areas if at all possible. This will allow ample space for teachers to pick up their students. Please wear masks when on the school ground at all times.
  • The playground may be slippery, especially the wood chips around the playground structures and swings. Please be careful when walking in these areas.

February 23rd  – Public Board Meeting 7:00pm
February 24th  – Pink Shirt Day in support of Anti-bullying day (wear a pink shirt to school and show your support)
February 26th – White Spot Lunch – sponsored by the PAC

Monday – Feb. 8 ·        Lunch Program – carrot cinnamon loaf; cheese and chicken quesadilla
Tuesday – Feb 9

·        Lunch Program – red apple; perogies shredded cheese and sour cream

·        Popcorn and Smencil Day for those who have ordered

·        PAC Meeting via Zoom 6:30pm (see PAC Facebook page for details)

Wednesday – Feb 10 ·        Lunch Program – yogurt; open faced pizza bagel
Thursday – Feb 11

·         Lunch Program – banana; hearty beef and bean chili with sweet corn; and cornbread

·        Valentine’s Day Celebrations (Wear pink, red or white to school today) COVID procedures for exchanging Valentine’s – students may only exchange cards, stickers, pencils etc. but must not bring any type of food/candy to share with their friends.

·        Moose Hide Day – moose hide campaign is a grassroots movement of indigenous and non-indigenous men and boys who are standing up against violence towards women and children.  Wearing a piece of moose hide signifies your commitment to honour, respect, and protect the women and children in your life and to work together with other men and boys to end violence against women and children.
