The staff and students at Ruth King would just like to say “thank you” to the PAC members for organizing the pizza lunch days and White Spot lunch days.  The PAC has also approved funding for more outside equipment.  The equipment has been ordered and will be in the classrooms soon.

Please remember to do the Daily Health Check with your child and keep them home if your child is sick.

Coming Up this Month:

February 2, 9, 16, 23rd   – Popcorn and Smencil day (smelly pencils)
February 9th – PAC meeting via zoom at 6:30pm

February 11th – Valentine’s Day celebrations (Wear pink, red or white to school today)

White Spot lunch sponsored by the PAC    cancelled and moved to Feb. 26th
February 12th  – Pro D day – no school for students
February 15th – Family Day – no school
February 18th – Fire Drill at 1:30pm
February 23rd  – Public Board Meeting 7:00pm
February 24th  – Pink Shirt Day in support of Anti-bullying day (wear a pink shirt to school and show your support)
February 26th – White Spot Lunch – sponsored by the PAC

This Week:

Monday – Feb 1

·        Monday Morning Assembly – Cohort #4 (Mrs Verdel and Mrs. Denton’s classes will be in the gym while all others will be in their classrooms.

·        Lunch Program – hard boiled egg, crackers and cheese, apples and carrots
Tuesday – Feb 2

·        Lunch Program – macaroni & shredded cheese; red apple

·        Popcorn and Smencil Day for those who have ordered

 
Wednesday – Feb 3 ·        Lunch Program – chicken Caesar wrap; mandarin orange
Thursday – Feb 4 ·         Lunch Program – 6 chicken nuggets with honey mustard sauce; banana
Friday – Feb 5 ·        Lunch Program – pizza sub sandwich and rice krispie squares

Reminders:

When you are dropping off and picking up your child, please stay off the paved areas if at all possible.  This will allow ample space for teachers to pick up their students. Please inform caregivers who are dropping off and picking up.

Please wear masks when on the school ground at all times.

Please remember to send a change of clothes with your child as sometimes students have accidents, or they get wet at recess or lunch.

Please label all belongings

Lost and Found Items are displayed outside the gym on the playground if your child has lost something.

 Valentine’s Day is coming up soon.  Here is the scoop on what you can do during COVID.  Students can exchange cards, stickers, pencils etc. but must not bring any type of food/candy to share with their friends.  Teachers will provide you with the first names of the students in their class if you would like your child to participate.

Before School Program

Please do not drop your child off before 7:30am.  There are no supervisors until 7:30am.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.
