·          Monday Morning Meeting – 8:45am

·          Lunch Program – Macaroni  & Cheese, grapes, fruit juice

Tuesday – Feb. 4

·          Leadership Morning Meeting in Ms. van der Leeden’s         classroom

·          PAC is selling Popcorn and Smencils at lunch today – $2.00/bag and $2.00/pencil

·          Lunch Program – Vegetarian Chili and Cornbread; red delicious apple; chocolate milk

·          Subway Lunch for those who have ordered

·          Skipping Club with Ms. Hesse at lunch – 12:10pm

·          Girls Basketball Game @ Savory 3:00pm (Opponents are Savory and Wishart)

·          Boys Basketball Game @ Ruth King 3:00pm (Opponent is Colwood)
Wednesday – Feb. 5

·          Lunch Program – Meatball sub with cracked wheat bun; banana; milk

·          Grade 4 Spirit Club Meeting 12:10pm Ms.Denton’s Classroom

·          Best Buddies at 12:10pm in the library

·          Boys Basketball Game @ Savory 3:00pm (Opponents are Savory      and Lakewood)
Thursday – Feb. 6

·          Boot Camp – 8:30am in the gym

·          Lunch Program – Southest Chicken ww burrito w/ salsa; vanilla yogurt and granola; fruit juice

·          Skipping Club with Ms. Hesse at lunch – 12:10pm
Friday – Feb. 7

·          Boot Camp – 8:30am in the gym

·          Lunch Program – Cheese Perogies with sour cream; Caesar salad; milk

·          Basketball Practise

Messages:

  • Please remember to drop your children off on Madson Road rather than at the front entrance of the school. Thank you.
  • There are still winter coats available in the office if any of your children need one. Please let me know.
  • Please send a spare set of clothes to school with your child in case they get wet at recess or lunch. It has been very rainy lately so it is important to send them to school with rain gear.
  • We have decided to celebrate “Family Day” this year rather than specifically Mother or Father’s Day. The school will no longer be making gifts or cards for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.  This is due to the diversity among our Ruth King families and the wish on our part to lessen the anxiety for some of our children.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
February 11 – PAC Meeting 6:30pm
February 13 – Valentine’s Day Celebrations; wear Red, Pink, Hearts, or Peace symbols
February 14 – Valentine’s Day; Professional Development Day – no school for students
February 17 – Family Day – No school, it’s a holiday!
February 26 – Pink Shirt Day – wear a pink shirt to school to support anti-bullying
February 28 – Pizza Day – sponsored by the PAC
