Hello Parents/Guardians,

Big shout out to Ms. Hesse and the Jump Rope for Heart volunteers.  The students and staff all had a great time on Friday! Please ensure all fundraising is returned to school. Thank you!

As the year is winding down, we are already starting to get ready for next year.  If you know that you will be moving and therefore leaving Ruth King, would you kindly let the office know so that we can start planning appropriately for our next year’s classes.  We already have 56 kindergarten students registered for next year, so Ruth King is growing along with the entire Sooke School District.

Have a great week everyone!

Reminders:

TOYS AT SCHOOL         Please remind students not to bring their own toys to school.  We have plenty of things for the students to do at school, and unfortunately their own toys tend to cause issues in the classroom and on the playground.  Thank you for monitoring what your child puts in their backpacks. Read to or with your children every night before bed.  It is a great way to relax and wind down from a busy day.

Volunteers Needed for the PAC FUN FAIR!  Please contact them through the Facebook page.

Ruth King Elementary School PAC

The PAC is asking for gently used smaller toy donations for the Fun Fair. A donation bin is set up outside the office. Also if any families have a home business or work for a company that have anything they’d like to donate for the “Loonie/Twoonie” auction they can email  ruthkingpac@gmail.com. Attendance at school is important to us.  Please try to have your children at school on time and ready for school.  If your child is late, please remember to sign them in at the office before heading to class.  If your child is going to be away, please call the safe arrivals phone line: 250-478-1447
