Reminders:

Attendance at school is important to us.  Please try to have your children at school on time and ready for school.  If your child is late, please remember to sign them in at the office before heading to class.  If your child is going to be away, please call the safe arrivals phone line: 250-478-1447 We are continually looking for volunteers for our “One to One Reading Program.”  Please contact Ms. V. Ives if you have some spare time to read with kids or if you know someone with some spare time. We have been experiencing some ongoing issues with speeders on both Goldstream Ave. and Jacklin Road.  The RCMP has set up speed traps to assist with this on our request, but please remind your children to always cross with the crossing guard at the cross-walk.  Parents dropping off students should do so at the back of the school (Matson Rd.) for safety reasons.

The hot lunch program is available to everyone. *If you need financial assistance in order for your child/children to participate in this program, please contact the school regarding our payment options. Read with your children every day. Children learn to read by practicing and listening to others read to them.  Try to build this into your daily routine if possible.  It will make a world of difference! We are collecting gently used books on our shelf in the foyer. The PAC is asking for gently used smaller toy donations for the Fun Fair. A donation bin is set up outside the office. Also if any families have a home business or work for a company that have anything they’d like to donate for the silent auction they can email  ruthkingpac@gmail.com.
