Thank you to everyone who made it out to Parent/Teacher Interviews last week. If you missed out, please reach out to your child’s teacher and arrange to either meet or talk over the phone if you so wish.

Reminders:
- Please do not park in the staff parking lot or spaces on Matson Road when dropping off your children. There are very limited spaces and if you are parked in the spaces, the Ruth King staff will have no spaces to park.
- Please remember to keep your children home if they are not feeling well. We have had to send several students home who have come to school sick. We are trying to keep everyone safe. Please follow these guidelines.
- Please remind your child not to bring toys (including Pokemon cards) or other sports equipment from home to school unless it is requested by the classroom teacher. Electronics should also stay at home as well. Thank you for your continued help with this policy.
- If your child is going to be away from school, it is important to email your child’s teacher to let them know directly. Also, if you plan to pick up your child early, please email their teacher as well please. No need to call or email the office.

ON THE PLAYGROUND: 1. Please do not bring your dog on the school grounds. 2. Make a meeting spot for you and your child after school so that you can locate each other. If all else fails, come to the office please. 3. Bikes and scooters, or anything with wheels need to be walked on the playground please. |
Staff Spotlight
This week, I would like to spotlight Mr. Stephenson. He has been here at Ruth King for the last six years and Mr. Stephenson is not only a teacher, but also a coach at our school. Mr. Stephenson runs the Health Hustle on some Fridays. He loves to dance the ZUMBA. Before he came to Ruth King, Mr. Stephenson was a substitute teacher in Quesnel, BC.
His favourite part about working as a teacher is making every day better than the last.
In his free time, Mr. Stephenson likes doing sports, road trips and play board games with his friends. Calvin and Hobbs is his favourite book and … Mr. Stephenson became a father to a baby daughter last week.
