Hello Parents/Guardians,

Happy Father’s Day!  There are just 9 days of school left for this year.  It has been an exciting year for me and I look forward to another one here at Ruth King.  Georgie Walker will be our Vice Principal again next year and I will continue as Principal for the 2019-2020 school year.  There will be some staffing changes over the summer but will let you all know in the fall who our new staff members will be.  Thank you to all those who came out to the PAC meeting and volunteered your services on the executive and as members at large.  Without the parents on board, our school would not be the same.  Thank you for working together to create a positive place to work and teach your children.  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed a little bit of sun.

Notices and Reminders:

LIBRARY BOOKS need to be RETURNED – please look in your house for Ruth King library books.  Return them as soon as possible.  Thank you

Beach Day – please make sure to sign the permission slip that was sent home last week.  If you would like to join us for beach day, please meet us at Witty’s Lagoon.  We will be walking to the beach from the parking lot.
Looking for gently used books – If you are able to, please send in children’s books in good condition for our book rack in the foyer. Students check this regularly to ‘bring a book/take a book’ and having fresh titles helps keep it going! Attendance at school is important to us.  Please try to have your children at school on time and ready for school.  If your child is late, please remember to sign them in at the office before heading to class.  If your child is going to be away, please call the safe arrivals phone line: 250-478-1447

Student #’s for Ruth King Sept. 2019

As June is upon us, we ask that families who know they will be moving or changing schools for September2019, to let the office know as soon as possible. We appreciate this as it allows us to estimate numbers of students for next year. Thank you for your help with this.
